A complete step-by-step beginner’s guide to analyzing the visual qualities of art.This course is designed to help you see visual art differently. We will explore how we see, the ‘language’ of art, and how to look at the visual qualities of an artwork with a critical eye.
Who Is This Course For
- Grades 9-12 and adult learners with an interest in visual art, media, or culture
- Educators or Homeschoolers seeking training in Visual Analysis or teaching foundational skills in art history
- This is an introductory, beginner-level course. No prior knowledge or experience required
Requirements
- This course is entirely online, asynchronous and self-paced. We do not meet at a specific time.
- To receive a Certificate of Completion for PD/CEU credit hours or course equivalency documentation, you must complete at least 80% of the course and all activities, quizzes, and coursework.
- The course includes downloadable step-by-step guides, worksheets, and curated resources so you can get the most out of looking at visual art with a critical eye after you complete the course
